KLCC-NPR Reporter, Host
I worked at KLCC-NPR for one year. During my time there, I co-hosted a regional newsmagazine, created features and reports for NPR programs, and implemented a social media strategy for the largest public radio station in Oregon.
Producer
During school, I played the drums in four different bands. I also played in a Jazz combo. I wanted to find a way to bridge media and music, so I started producing feature articles and video packages for oregonmusicnews.com, an online magazine based out of Portland, OR.
I interviewed top-tier artists among the likes of Bassnectar, Skrillex, STS9, and Larry Harvey.
Among the video packages were five mini-documentaries. For production, I recruited a team and organized everything from requesting interviews to the final edit and rendering.
Business and Media Graduate
I graduated from the University of Oregon (‘12) with a degree in Electronic Media and Business Administration.
Radio News Director
I worked at KWVA 88.1 for a year as the News Director and a program host. During that time, I produced, managed, and oversaw news and talk content for University of Oregon campus radio. The show I hosted was a half hour news magazine that aired four times a week.
Award winning columnist
I worked as a columnist for the Oregon Daily Emerald from March 2010-March 2011. During that time, I served on the editorial board, received the “Best Columnist” award from the Oregon Newspaper Publisher’s Association, and interviewed key decision makers in the Northwest.
For three months, I published my column from Argentina and Uruguay. I also managed to make an appearance on Argentine radio while traveling.
Fundraiser
From September 2008 to May 2009, I worked as a student caller for the University of Oregon Annual Giving Program.
I made fundraising cold calls to University alumni, raising over $2,100 per 3.5 hour shift on average. My pledge rate was consistently over 90%, and reached 100% on four occasions.
